International businessman and entrepreneur, Ulugbekhon Maksumov popularly known as the Chief Executive Officer of a Dubai-based armored vehicles manufacturing company, Inkas Vehicles LLC has been honoured in his home country of Uzbekistan.

The serial entrepreneur was awarded a commemorative medal from the Uzbekistan government on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic, by the decree of the President.

The ceremony was held in the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Dubai by the Consul General of Republic of Uzbekistan in Dubai, Alisher Salomov who presented the medal himself to Ulugbekhon Maksumov.

The commemorative badge, titled “O’zbekiston Respublikasi Mustaqilligining 30 yilligi” (30th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan), is said to be presented to people of uncommon achievements who have not only contributed immensely to the national development of the Republic but has also kept the flag flying outside the country in pomp and pride.

Maksumov started his career in Uzbekistan in an automotive industry where his passion for innovation and service was nurtured before he moved to Dubai in 2006 where he has largely excelled in the armored vehicles industry. Since 2008 he has become well-known in the market place for armored vehicles throughout GCC, Africa and Eastern Europe as a leader of Inkas Vehicles LLC.

His company serves governmental and non-governmental institutions, non-profit organizations as well as individual clients throughout the world.

Currently, Maksumov has launched production of a new line of military armored vehicles in Uzbekistan with the aim to overtake the CIS markets. VPK Aksum has already delivered first orders to undisclosed governments.

With millions of followers on his personal Instagram page, he is perceived as an inspirational role model for and by younger generation from his home country and beyond. Little wonder he has been singled out among many for honour by his homeland.

United Arab Emirates-based armored vehicle company, Inkas Vehicle LLC which had earlier planned to spread its tentacles to Nigeria with a view to connecting the West African market has explained through its representatives why they have suspended the planned launch in Nigeria in 2020.

According to the spokesperson, the company was ready to launch the factory and start operation in 2020 but the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic altered the plan and put everything pretty much on hold. The company said they didn’t fail in their bid to make good their promise but had to adapt to the prevailing situation which affected business and social lives globally.

The company further asserted that Nigeria, indeed Africa is on their agenda and would soon be unveiling their next plans in that regard but nonetheless admitted that it is subject to how the business world responds to the pandemic.

“Inkas Vehicles has been hit by the given situation as well. Mr.Ulugbekhon has chosen the way to keep promises to the clients as with pandemic threats are still there and to take good care of his team members by arranging for them a safe environment to live and work,” the spokesperson says.

“Nigeria holds one of the largest African markets in the world and thus still is of top priority to us,” the spokesperson adds.

The Inkas Group DMCC was established as a small trading firm in 2008 a few years after Ulugbekhon Maksumov relocated to UAE. It soon expanded to Inkas Vehicles LLC in 2012 to enlarge the scope of operation.

The firm is a manufacturing body for producing high tech vehicles majorly, and now a multi-million-dollar conglomerate with many of its operations in UAE, Middle East, Europe and undergoing expansion in Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.

Inkas Vehicle LLC is majorly known for producing military vehicles and high tech cars majorly for high profiled personalities, government NGOs and so on.

The Inkas Vehicle LLC dominates the armored manufacturing market in UAE and holds a strong position within the competitor circle.

The International Defense Exhibition and Conference which is held biennially in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates is all about advanced technology and new innovations in military hardware and vehicles. The 2021 is no exception as top players in the defense industry across the world came to show off their latest technologies, but home-grown car armorer, UAE-based Inkas Vehicles LLC, stood its ground by showcasing its best-selling models of TITAN APC family as well as the new range of APCs named HORNET to stand out at the exhibition.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Ulugbekhon Maksumov, new TITAN-GT was initially a custom-built version of TITAN-DS, engineered to meet requirements of a specific client. But then it was upgraded and made available to the public, taking into cognizance excellence and perfection coupled with comfort. Now TITAN-GT is hit model utilized as a universal anti-aircraft cannon platform.

“Besides, we have noticed a huge demand for smaller APCs, which we have transformed into HORNET and HORNET-S editions. Some of the features of HORNET APCs include high quality multi-layer bulletproof glass, 360-degree CCTV camera system linked to main DVR with recording, reinforced door hinges and other critical structure points, heavy duty steel rims, rear door opening and closing with manual dead-locks on all of the doors, independent additional air conditioning system and custom designed and manufactured by INKAS UAE system for quick exit.

The armored vehicle manufacturer, which opened office in Dubai in 2012, started out with the notion of producing the kind of heavy metal monsters that even the drivers of the most fearsome 4x4s and pickups would find intimidating.

At IDEX 2019, INKAS UAE promoted an array of domestic and military wares at the Abu Dhabi defense show, showcasing the Titan-DS and three other models.

The Chief Executive Officer of Inkas Vehicle LLC based in the United Arab Emirates has said that the pandemic is the reason they have not launched their operation in Nigeria as they promised they would in 2020. Due to the scourge of the Coronavirus pandemic, the launch was put on hold.

“We were ready to launch the factory and start operation in 2019. But as you know the COVID-19 pandemic has changed everyone’s plans. But we were obliged to adapt to the current situation, adopt a new business model and postpone the grand opening,” said Ulugbekhon Maksumov through the company’s spokesperson.

Speaking further on the pandemic, the spokesperson adds, “The COVID-19 pandemic has divided the business behavior into before, during and after, and for sure Inkas Vehicles has been hit by the given situation as well. Mr. Ulugbekhon has chosen the way to keep promises to the clients as pandemic threats are still there and to take good care of his team members by arranging for them a safe environment to live and work in. We are not going to be talking about single charity cases in which he gets involved as a personality as he doesn’t really like to make it public. He does it for himself, not for acknowledgment.”

On the question of the vaccines given skepticism and criticisms that have greeted it with some of the population of the world expressing doubts about the real intent behind it, Mr. Ulugbekhon Maksumov opined that the issue is a personal one.

“I believe it’s a personal choice for everyone. We all have the right to believe in it or not, we have the right to choose which one of it to prefer over another, and we have the right to decide when we want to proceed with vaccination once we are sure of its safety. I just hope there will be no legal enforcement in getting the population vaccinated,” he said.

It has been reported that Inkas Vehicle LLS, a UAE-based armored vehicle company, founded by Ulugbekhon Maksumov closed a deal worth USD 15 million at Dubai International Motor Show 2019 on day three, with other participating brands, also reporting buyers’ interest across the show floor.

Commenting on their remarkable sale at the show, Ulugbekhon Maksumov, CEO of Inkas Vehicles LLC, said: “We are overwhelmed with the interest that has been expressed in our wide range of armored commercial and tactical vehicles at our motor show stand. We’ve already had genuine interest from customers across the MENA and CIS regions and we are delighted to announce that on day three we closed a sale of over US$ 15 million.”

Speaking further, he added, “We have taken the decision to exhibit at Dubai International Motor Show as it occurs not many people are not aware what kind of technological industry development takes place within UAE. And we wanted to showcase that possibilities that UAE provides to support home-owned manufacturers are limitless. We have displayed both military and commercial armored vehicles to the local and international crowd to introduce the diversity of services INKAS UAE provides on an international defence arena.”

Inkas Vehicles LLC, set up a booth under the name “Armored Luxury” and it was the first company to make exhibition of what it had to offer. In response to the Middle Eastern needs of “making a luxury SUV into an armored car,” the armored SUV using various base cars was unveiled.

The Dubai International Motor Show is the largest international automotive event across the Middle East and North Africa.

The 2019 edition spanned across 85,000 square meters of exhibition space at the World Trade Centre.

Ever since its inception, it has been bringing global manufacturers, distributors, industry specialists and of course, thousands of passionate car aficionados together under one roof.

The biennial event once again saw the best of the best from the car world take center stage.

There were more than 150 major exhibitors from over 70 countries present with more than 550 vehicles on display under the lights.

During the five-day extravaganza, more than 105,000 visitors graced the show.

Alongside the military vehicles, the company provides armoured cars for VIPs which, at first glance, may resemble standard road-going vehicles, but have a little more than that going for them.

Customised models already produced include everything from a variety of Toyota Landcruisers and Hiluxes to Range Rovers and Mercedes Maybachs, right down to the Toyota Coaster buses.

Protective measures include carrying out defensive upgrades to passenger compartments, the fitting of bulletproof glass and run-flat tyre devices, and making sensitive areas, such as fuel tanks and critical structure points, more resistant to damage in extreme situations.

The company says it can customise any vehicle to meet set standards and requirements.

And, if customers are in any doubt about the provenance of the products, each model bears a “Made in UAE” badge emblazoned under a domestic flag.

Marketing manager Julia Kiseleva said business has been brisk at Idex, with both local and overseas clients expressing interest in the products.

“The value of the biggest deal that has been signed so far amounts to $22 million,” she said.
